The Green Star Elite Juicer GSE-5300 is the exact same juicer as the Green Star Elite Juicer GSE-5000 model. The only difference between the Green Star Elite Juicer GSE-5300 and the Green Star Elite Juicer GSE-5000 model is the GSE-5300 includes a Pasta Making Kit. This Pasta Making Set converts your Green Star Elite into a pasta press, set to conveniently press your readymade pasta dough into perfect noodles every time.
Special Features of the Green Star Elite Jumbo Twin Gear Juicer:
1. The Green Star Elite Jumbo Twin Gear Juicer is the next generation of household juicers. The twin gears are now larger in size and add a new state of the art extraction stage. While the original Green Star had two juicing stages (steps 1 and 3 below), the Green Star Elite now has the following three juicing stages:
* Stage 1: Crushing Stage - As the produce enters the stainless steel portion of the twin gears, crushing and mastication occurs. This process breaks apart the cell membranes in the produce so that juice can be extracted.
* Stage 2: Mixing & Rubbing Stage - A New Patent Pending feature! Upon passing the stainless steel area, the produce passes through the first half of the acetal screw and the produce is mixed and rubbed together so the cell membranes can be easily opened. * Stage 3: Squeezing Stage - The second half of the acetal screw applies extra pressure on the produce and further increases the number of opened cell membranes.

2. All Green Star Elite components such as the twin gear housing and outlet casing are now lighter in weight than its predecessors. The GSE's juicing parts are also now made heat resistant and can now be used in dishwashers!
3. Cleaning up the Green Star Elite is now much easier due to the 'latch system' which makes cleaning and assembly quick and simple.
4. Using the GSE is now even safer because of the 'safety switch system' which disables operation unless the machine is fully assembled. I just received my Greenstar elite. I did alot of research before buying this product, including talking to several nutritionist's and health food advocates. I can tell you this is b y far worth the money. The quality of the juice is amazing, add to that easy operation and clean up plus the fact that you can make pate and other items with just processing the food and this juicer pays for itself.
You will not be disappointed. Get rid of your old juicer and step up-you'll thank me!

I did a lot of research before buying this juicer, and I'm not disappointed. The juice it creates is plentiful and delicious and it has no trouble juicing a wide variety of fruits and veggies. It is very quiet, easy to assemble, and powerful. For my first batch, I made a wheatgrass, spinach, apple, carrot, cucumber, and celery mix that was amazingly good. Even my husband liked it, even though he thinks I'm a "hippy weirdo" for getting into juicing. ;)

I am writing this because I had SO much difficulty finding more than a handful of customer reviews online when trying to find a juicer.
My family has been juicing for years now with a popular-brand centrifugal juicer. My stepdad was diagnosed with cancer and we started researching the Gerson Therapy. This juicer is NOT recommended for the Gerson Therapy, but their system is so complicated and expensive we decided to compromise. We went with a twin-gear because it's a much better juicer than a centrifugal but it's not nearly as much trouble as a 2-stage press system.
Anyway, we love it. We estimate we're getting twice as much juice per-veggie than we did with the centrifugal juicer. We juice at least 4 times per week (for 3 people) so we're thinking the price difference will easily be paid in a year just from the savings on produce.
It's also easier to clean than our old one. The hardest part to clean is the mesh screen... it has some tight corners that the pulp really gets jammed into, but after cleaning it a couple times it gets much faster. The rest of the parts are easy.

I was sceptical about buying a machine this expensive without having a lot of feedback on the product. However, I have been quite pleased with the ease in cleaning and the amount of juice it produces. I used to blend my juices and then remove the pulp using a nut milk bag. With the green star elite I can definitely taste the difference. The juices last a good amount of time, and I like that I can use it for other purposes. Really glad I have one.

Greenstar Elite GSE-5000 twin screw juicer today....omg so glad we went with the twin screw instead of the Centrifugal juicer as the twin screw has alot higher yield. Made up a batch of juice that will make your head pop off and shoot sparks out of your ears. yuuuumy
Was very worried about cleaning this product as its been said its hard to clean, well I am disabled and within 5 minutes I had it taken apart scrubbed and in the dishwasher.... two thumbs up (( its easy to clean ))
Well worth the 500.00 for this juicer that works, unlike paying a hundred or hundreds for other units that produce nothing but headaches!

We've had this juicer for a month or so and have been enjoying making green juices, raw bread dough and banana "ice cream" with it. Quality wise, it seems sturdy, though some of the things mentioned in the previous review are true... the hood is a light-weight plastic with sharper edges, and there are little grooves here and there where the juice get in. But, overall, I've gotten good at cleaning it fairly quickly and have been enjoying using it.
